What type of service/plan do I need if I want to buy a PDA that can connect to the internet/e-mail?

Q) I want to buy a PDA - don't know which one yet, but I don't want it to act as a phone as well. Could someone tell me what type of plan I would need so that I could connect to the internet? I will not be using my cell-phone to do this either.

A) well i like the samsung i 730 it has wifi wich allwos u to conect to the internet for free but this is very limited do to the fact that free wifi hot spots are rare now days but with verizon u can get unlimet internet accses (any where in the wrold) for $45 a month (it cost but it works any where ) but i must worn u that no pda or smart phone will have complt internet acceses the internet is slower on cell phones than on your pc no matter what and some time things lick vido games will not play on them (or fyi if u do get one down load yahoo mobile 2.0 it realy cool ) o and good luck

I need to find the best place to buy a PDA specifically for dentists can you help?

Q) My daughter is graduating from Dental school soon and I would like to buy her a PDA specifically for dentists. I want to make sure that I get the right one!

A) Whiel weather or not the device is Palm based or windows based depends on personal preferance, I would recomend a PDA with phone functionality such as a Treo or Windows based smartphone. This will allow her to use the PDA functionality and not have to carry around additional devices, plus she would be able to access internet and other on the go applications for research, this can be very useful and conveinent for some one in her position.

Should i get rid of my pocket pc and buy a pda phone?

Q) was thinking about getting rid of my ipaq hx4700 and buying a pda, pocket phone combined with a phone. Should i do it? Does the phone have all the options of a pocket pc or is missing a few things? im looking to get it for mainly movies and browse the web via wifi, what you guys think?

A) I am looking to do just that... but I am holding out trying to get work to buy it for me. Most have all the features that your ipaq has.

A) I think u would awant to chack ebay cause there's this hp phone brend new and treo650 that u can buy @ ebay or @ cingular they both have camera, internet, organizer and all other stuffs.

Can I buy a PDA cellphone WITHOUT A PLAN?

Q) Is it just possible to buy the PDA cellphone without the plan? I want to just use it as a PDA with a keyboard.

A) yes but you may need to have a sim card in it to use the functions. ebay is your best friend.

Buying a PDA what is the best buy?

Q) I want to be able to text and check my emails on the go. Are PDA's for me and what is the best buy for my money without breaking my wallet.

A) I believe the blackberry pearl is best or maybe the smartphone samsung blackjack

What PDA can I buy that can copy news in the internet?

Q) I want to buy a PDA that can be able to copy that news from the internet, then I can read it anywhere I go even if I am away from the computer or if I am at the car?

A) basic thing all PDA should have wireless ..u can log on the internet with the pda itself..then u save the page ..u r good on the go

Recommend a good source to buy PDA replacement battery?

Q) This is for a Toshiba PDA. Some of the websites look pretty questionable. And there is a wide range of prices.

A) I'd go with Ebay. At least that way you can check the feedback rating of the seller to see if they have a good reputation.

Should I buy a smart phone or a PDA?

Q) I don't need email but something for my calender and contacts. I use both on a daily basis and I have a lot of contacts to keep up with. I need to be able to use it with my work laptop. I am not sure if should buy a PDA or get a smart phone. Which is the more practical purchase since you can get them at about the same price?
